Η Ίνγκριντ και η Μάρθα ήταν στενές φίλες στα νιάτα τους, όταν δούλευαν μαζί στο ίδιο περιοδικό. Η Ίνγκριντ έγινε συγγραφέας, ενώ η Μάρθα πολεμική ανταποκρίτρια, και οι δύο απομακρύνθηκαν λόγω των συνθηκών της ζωής. Μετά από χρόνια χωρίς επαφή, συναντιούνται ξανά σε μια ακραία αλλά παράξενα γλυκιά κατάσταση.
